I've decided to dedicate September to Regency and who better to read than: McNaught and Lindsey? Then end the month with a brand new author: Liana De La Rosa, to usher in autumn.
September Boudoir Read
9/1 to 9/13
Almost Heaven by: Judith McNaught
Almost Heaven is probably my favorite romance of all time. Ian Thornton definitely ranks at the top of my favorite heroes list.
The beautiful, Elizabeth Cameron, Countess of Havenhurst's reputation is shattered when she is discovered in the arms of Ian Thornton, a notorious gambler and social outcast. Thornton's a man of many mysteries. The countess believes him a fortune hunter, but Ian is more than she ever dreamed.
Destined for each other, yet wary of each other's motives, their overwhelming desire will be tested time and again. From a secluded greenhouse, to the Highlands of Scotland and finally the drawing rooms of London, they'll both be challenged with the truth. Are Elizabeth's feelings genuine? Is Ian a reckless gambler looking for another fortune to lose?
The title is perfect. This grand love story between Ian and Elizabeth is truly Almost Heaven...
I hope you enjoy this classic as much as I do.
Lingerie by: Victoria's Secret
This beautiful little satiny babydoll always makes me feel like a princess. It's simple and pretty and flattering. It is the second oldest piece of lingerie in my closet. I purchased this for a special anniversary 15 years ago. No longer available anywhere, I suppose that makes it a classic. And one of my favorites. I thought it paired nicely with my favorite classic romance.
